A timeline, not a stack of charts
Vitals — BP, HR, temperature, SpO₂, pain score — land on a single visual timeline per patient. The nurse on the next shift sees what changed since the last set, and abnormal values are highlighted automatically so escalation isn't missed.
- ✓BP, HR, Temp, SpO₂, RR and pain on one chart
- ✓Hourly / 4-hourly / 8-hourly observation orders from the doctor
- ✓Out-of-range values flagged for escalation
- ✓Intake / output and drain charting per shift
Today · Shift A
Every dose, time-stamped to the signing nurse
The Medication Administration Record (MAR) shows the right dose at the right time to the right nurse — with allergies surfaced before administration. Given, refused, held, missed — all logged, all signed, all on the patient timeline.
- ✓Scheduled doses, PRN and one-off orders all in one MAR
- ✓Allergy and interaction warnings before administration
- ✓Refused / held / missed doses logged with reason
- ✓Consumption flows automatically into Pharmacy and Billing
Day → Night · Ward 2
The next shift starts oriented
A structured end-of-shift handover rolls up each patient — current status, vitals trend, pending tasks, PRN doses given and any watch-outs. No "what happened today?" at the start of every shift.
- ✓Per-patient handover summary auto-generated
- ✓Pending tasks, dressings and meds carried forward
- ✓Watch-outs flagged for the incoming nurse
- ✓Patient-app reminders for next-dose / next-task

Common Questions
What does the Nursing module cover?
Vital monitoring, medication scheduling and administration, observation orders, fluid balance and shift handover — all tied to the same patient record the doctors work in. Nurses document where they already are; there is no parallel paper system.
How does the Medication Administration Record (MAR) work?
Every dose is shown to the nurse at the right time with patient, drug, dose, route and any allergies. The nurse confirms administration (or refusal / hold) and the action is timestamped with the signing nurse. Missed doses surface on the next round.
Do observation orders push to nursing automatically?
Yes. A doctor-set 4-hourly observation order automatically appears as a task on the nursing dashboard at the right cadence. No nurse has to remember the schedule.
How is shift handover handled?
A structured end-of-shift handover note rolls up each patient — current status, vitals trend, pending tasks, PRN doses given and any watch-outs. The next shift starts already oriented.
Does the Nursing module connect to the patient app?
Yes. Reminders for the next dose, mobilisation, hydration or follow-up tasks can be pushed to the patient on the MedX app — useful for daycare patients on the way home and IPD patients ahead of discharge.
